  • Red Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum)

    known as the "immortality Mushroom"

Over the past several decades, dozens of different studies conducted in Japan, China, the U.S. and the U.K. have demonstrated that reishi mushrooms are capable of offering protection against numerous diseases or illnesses, including:

    • inflammation
    • fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome)
    • frequent infections (urinary tract, bronchitis, respiratory infections, etc.)
    • liver disease
    • food allergies and asthma
    • digestive problems, stomach ulcers and leaky gut syndrome
    • tumor growth and cancer
    • skin disorders
    • autoimmune disorders
    • diabetes
    • viruses, including the flu, HIV/AIDS or hepatitis
    • heart disease, hypertension, high blood pressure and high cholesterol
    • sleep disorders and insomnia
    • anxiety and depression

Because they work as an “immune modulator,” reishi mushrooms can help restore hormonal balance, bring the body back to homeostasis and regulate activity of the immune system. This can help fight tumors and cancerous cells.

Reishi mushrooms are adaptogens and thus can help your body adapt to various types of stressors.* The mushrooms are hot water and dual extracted for optimal bioavailability, absorption, and digestibility

    How to prepare:

Break your dried Reishi (25-40 grams) into small pieces. Add 4 cups fresh filtered water in a stainless steel or glass pot. Turn the heat to high until water starts to boil, then turn down to low and simmer gently for at least 30 minutes and up to two hours.

The longer you simmer, the stronger the tea will be. When it’s ready, it should be a light amber color. Strain out the Reishi pieces and allow your brew to cool slightly before drinking.

How to prepare tea bag: Use 1 tea bag per cup of (8 oz) water. Bring water to a boil. Place tea bag in cup. Pour boiling water over the tea bag. Let steep for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy

Reishi has a bitter taste and you might not find it pleasant to drink straight. Adding some slices of fresh ginger during the simmering process or mixing your Reishi decoction with chai tea are popular options. Also, adding some honey and a splash of cream or coconut milk make for a delightful beverage any time of day.

Can last in the fridge up to 1 week.

*may come in broken pieces to get correct weight ordered*
